Create Boundaries with Spirit
Has spirit woken you up in the middle of the night? Or have you felt spirit whilst you were trying to enjoy dinner in a restaurant? Or did you feel spirit in the shower?
When you start out with mediumship, you can get very excited about working with spirit, and they get very excited about working with you! This means that boundaries can be overstepped easily. Now, even tough the feeling of working with spirit can be overwhelming and inspiring and you may not get enough of the energy, it is important to set some rules.
The spirit world is a world of inteligence and power, and so they can and will understand if you let them know your principles. For example in my case, no spirits when I am not working. When I am sitting in the power, they can come.
This way, it is clear to you and spirit what is expected. You, as a medium, need your private space and your recuperation time. You can not be 'on' all the time, you need down to earth time as well, otherwise you will burn out.
Some of you have asked me what I do, when I am eating in a restaurant and a spirit comes through with an urgent message for somebody els in this restaurant. Would I go and tell this complete stranger the message? I would not, because this person may not be wanting this message, this person does not know me either, and this person may not even believe in spirit. So, what would I do? In this case, I would ask the spirit to sent this person to me, I would let spirit put the message out to this person, that they might want a reading. If I met the person and a conversation arose, then I might mention what I do as a medium, but still I would leave the choice for a reading upto that person.
Spirit is intelligent enough to bring this person to me in due course, we as humans have free will in this.
